Why Zero Trust is No Longer Optional

The castle-and-moat security model assumes that everything inside the network is safe. In an era of remote work and cloud services, this assumption is dangerous.

The Core Principles

Zero Trust operates on three main axioms:

  1. Verify explicitly.
  2. Use least privileged access.
  3. Assume breach.

By segmenting networks and requiring verification for every request, regardless of where it originates, we limit the blast radius of any potential intrusion.
